Need to lose weight in a week? This simple soup can help you lose it. You can lose up to 5 pounds in the first couple of days. This diet is rumored to have been a quick diet plan given to heart surgery patients in preparation from surgery. It is called the Sacred Heart diet or if you add cabbage it can easily be called the Cabbage Soup diet. Some say the more you eat this soup the more you lose weight.
Here are the steps to start your major weight loss.
First you will need to pick up these ingredients.
2 cans of stewed tomatoes
3 large green onions
1 large can of chicken broth (or beef broth)
1 package of fat-free soup mix (Like Lipton Mushroom Soup I
1 bunch celery
2 can green beans
2-3 green bell peppers
2 lbs. carrots m
You can also add chopped mushrooms, garlic, yellow onions, red pepper flakes, zucchini, squash or cabbage.
The directions for the soup is as follows
Chop veggies into small pieces and place in pot
Add water to cover
Season with salt, pepper as desired
Add canned veggies
Bring to a boil
Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender
Time to put the soup to work
Juices that are allowed are:
- Water,
- black coffee,
- tea,
- cranberry juice
- unsweetened fruit juice
Day One
Soup and fruit. (no bananas)
Day Two
Soup and vegetables (no dry beans, peas or corn), and then a baked potato with butter at dinnertime
Day Three
Soup, fruit and veggies (no potato!) By today, up to seven pounds could be shed!
Day Four
Bananas (at least three) and skim milk- on this day, the body will need calcium and potassium.
Day Five
Soup, 10-20 ounces of beef and tomatoes (one can or six fresh)
Day Six
Soup and as much beef and veggies you want
Day Seven
Soup, brown rice, veggies, unsweetened fruit juice
Warning.
It is very important to not drink alcoholic beverages or carbonated drinks during this diet.
